In My Spare Time, I enjoy sewing. My model horse collection enjoys the warmth and safety of little blankets made from different materials and bordered and strapped with binding of all colors.
Well, it seems kind of silly. But there is a point here! I sew these blankets for my horses to help keep them clean from dust and the danger of scuffs if they happen to fall over. I enjoy making them, and thought maybe others would enjoy protecting their horses. It isn’t a hermetically sealed chamber, by any means. Unfortunately, things do still happen to our precious ponies. However, these blankets can help protect your model horses from some of the dangers of being a model horse.
Here is a gallery of some of the blankets I have done. Take a look at them and learn more. I’m happy to do custom work, but you’ll have to email me to discuss specifics, such as color, fabric, and binding.
Blankets
Fabrics include cottons and cotton blends, flannel and some velveteen type stuff.
Colors include solids and patterns. I have hundreds of different kinds of fabric when it comes to patterns, because I quilt also. There are photos here of some of my fabric.
Binding includes black, white, navy, royal blue, pink, light green, hunter green, red, dark red, burgundy, bright yellow, pale yellow, lavender and purple.
Blankets have crossed straps made of binding that are secured by hook and eye catches. Straps are not adjustable, but are made to fit a specific model. Front curves around shoulder and comes together at base of neck. It is held together with the binding that edges the neck. Hook and eye catch is not included at the neck, unless a model has a difficult mane to work around, then I’ll do a clip. Some models with an uplifted front leg, like the Legionario, have a small bit cut out, so it fits around the leg

I have many models in my collection that are listed below. I sew blankets to fit a model. If I do not have a model that you would like a blanket for, I can make a good guess, or you can ship me your model so I can custom fit it to the horse. You are responsible for all shipping costs of the horse.
Resins would have to be shipped to me. I haven’t many resins, and they are so varied, it would be hard to guess. You can also estimate a resin to the closest Breyer or Stone.
